South Australian Tourism Commission (SATC)

The SATC works closely with the tourism industry to realise the opportunities for our state that are outlined in the South Australia Tourism Plan 2030 (June 2025). This refreshed plan reaffirms the Government of South Australia’s ambitious goal to grow the State’s visitor economy to $12.8 billion and support a further 4400 jobs by 2030. 

 

Tourism Industry Council of South Australia (TiCSA)

TiCSA is the peak body for South Australia’s tourism industry. It has two primary objectives – advocacy and business development.  TiCSA is a not-for-profit, member-based organisation with over 1000 members.

SATGA is a proud TiCSA member.

 

Tourism Australia

Tourism Australia is the Australian government agency responsible for attracting international visitors to Australia, both for leisure and business events. Its objectives are to influence and encourage international and domestic travel to Australia, foster a sustainable tourism industry, and develop economic benefits to Australia from tourism.

 

Australian Tourism Industry Council (ATIC)

ATIC is the national representative body of Australia’s Tourism Industry. It represents over 9,000 tourism businesses, from small operators to large enterprises, across the country.

 

Workers’ Educational Association (WEA) South Australia

The WEA operates as an innovative, flexible provider of moderately priced adult education services. It is Australia’s largest non-government adult community education organisation.

SATGA conducts a Tour Guide course with the support of the WEA, in an effort to attract more tour guides to this important sector. The course is advertised in the WEA Course Guide and on the WEA website.
