Who we are
The South Australian Tour Guides Association (SATGA) is a member-based organisation of professional tour guides that supports and advocates development.
We strive to fulfill this role by:
- Maintaining high standards of service
- Providing greater work opportunities
- Maintaining member listing
- Assisting in education of members through courses, seminars and familiarisations
- Providing a forum for exchanging information and advice, including the quarterly newsletter Guiding Light
- Providing networking opportunities with support from experienced
colleagues - Lobbying tourism organisations and government authorities to improve recognition of the professional status of tour guides
SATGA is a member of the Tourism Industry Council of South Australia (TiCSA), which assists in advocating for tourism needs across the state.
Management
SATGA is managed by a committee of elected members, currently led by President Andrea Averis.
